When human beings step into a new era of Digital Age, learning is taking a new face. It appears more and more at places outside of school, among people of wider age ranges, at any moment along one’s life; in ways more interactive and casual, in patterns more joyful and attractive, in a style more personalized. The old topic of ESL/EFL is now drawn onto a new page and put under more lenses.
With ESL/EFL writing as my concentration, I would focus more on the research under the following theoretical structure: Krashen’s input hypothesis, Swain’s output hypothesis, Vygotsky’s theory of mind and society, and Gee’s New Literacy theories.
As a Chinese teacher of English, I would shed more light on Chinese context.
